Initial IFSP Checklist for Families: After the Meeting

The plan keeps working after the meeting ends, and so does your role. Use this checklist after your IFSP meeting, the meeting that sets your child's early intervention plan (the Individualized Family Service Plan) for birth to age three. It helps you keep simple notes on new skills and communication changes, stay in touch with your providers and service coordinator, and know that reviews happen every six months, every year, or anytime you ask. It also encourages you to connect with parent groups and Deaf and hard of hearing family networks, and to start planning early for the move out of early intervention at age three.
