Additional Disabilities Administrator Checklist (Birth-to-Three)

Deaf and hard of hearing children who also have additional disabilities need coordinated, individualized services. Use this checklist to review how your program supports them. It asks whether assessments address both hearing status and additional disabilities, whether each child has an individualized communication plan and IFSP outcomes (the goals written in a child's Individualized Family Service Plan, the plan that guides early intervention), whether teams collaborate across specialties, whether families receive coaching and connections to Deaf and hard of hearing adults, and whether staff get related professional learning. Use it to strengthen services and child and family outcomes.
